6 miles isn’t that far

“Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.” – David Goggins

The service was booked in, I just had to work out how I was going to get back after I’d dropped the car off.

David Goggins came to my rescue.

It didn’t matter that I was only just out of my recovery period from ACL surgery and the most vigorous thing I’d done was my physio exercises.

I’d told myself I could run it, so I did.

Now, 6 miles actually isn’t that far, but for me in my condition, it was a silly idea.

However, the ‘teaching moment’ for me was an important one.

Sometimes you have to be your own boss.

Not like in a “own your own business” kind of way, that’s a terrible idea!

But in an “I said I’d do it, so I’ll do it” kind of way.

P.S. Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins is a great book that I would recommend reading. Just be careful you don’t sign yourself up for an ultramarathon upon completing it. Challenge yourself, yes. Cause physical harm to yourself out of stubbornness, NO!
